A Day in Denton

This morning, Emily woke me up and said "Daddy is going to work all day... will you take us bowling?" What a great idea... we hadn't been blowing in almost a year! Luckily, Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sissy were available so we met them in Denton (the halfway point) for some lunch, bowling and ice cream! Grandpa could only stay for lunch, but we were sure glad we got to see him at all!

Only in Texas can you enjoy ice cream outside on a beautiful afternoon... 2 days after a snow storm!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

We were thrilled to have so much snow to play in this afternoon! The girls and I had a snow ball fight with some neighbors and even built a snow princess! What a great afternoon!

Snow Angels

The girls were so excited to wake up and find that it had snowed so much during the night. I was grateful for the 2 hour school delay which allowed us the time to get out and enjoy it… because by noon, there was nothing but grass.

GO Pink Lightning!

Emily just started playing soccer and today was her first game. She played great and had a lot of fun... and Pink Lightening Won! Grandparents and Aunt Sissy came to cheer her on. Afterwards we celebrated by having a Tex-Mex lunch at Cristina's... Emily's restaurant of choice.

Pretty cute soccer girl, huh?

Megan cheered her sister on from the front row! Emily played great for her fist game ever! We are very proud of her!

Such A Girly Afternoon!

Today Megan and I spent the day in downtown McKinney with our great friends, Trysh and Sophie... and after such a fun day, I feel we need to find more time to spend with them!

We had a fabulous lunch at Spoons Cafe... and we even saved room for a girly piece of pink cake... Yummy!

Then, we did a little window shopping and came across a stuffed turtle that Megan and Sophie were quite smitten with!

We also expressed our creative side while painting a piece of pottery at Walls of Clay.

Megan was oh so proud of her masterpiece!

We went to Fort Worth to celebrate Granddaddies Birthday and we also made a stop to visit Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sissy!
We couldn't wait for Aunt Sissy to get the Wii set up to play.

Granddaddie's 60th Birthday!

We visited Granddaddie, Grandmommie and Aunt Kerrie to celebrate Granddaddies 60th Birthday! He got a Wii Gaming System and we had a ton of fun helping him break it in. He also let us help him blow out the candles on his yummy tractor cake!
