SNOW!!!!

Record snow fall in Texas!!! It was awesome!!! We got about a foot of snow in McKinney and had a blast with it!
Megan and I built a snowman while Emily was playing at a friend's house.

Emily and her friend Cate.
Normally, when it snows we are confined to the house because the streets are covered in ice. This time we had fabulous snowfall but the temps were not below freezing and there was no ice on the streets! So I took a little cruise around a snow covered McKinney!
Towne Lake Park
Falcon Creek Park
Stonebridge Golf Course
Brrrrrr!!!

Valentine Tea

Emily's class hosted a Valentine Tea and they were able to invite one special person to attend... and luckily I was that person! :)
They decorated the room so sweet... made the table clothes and chair covers... they even made us a little clay (glazed and fired) tea cup! The cup is precious but sadly I didn't get mine in the picture.
Each of the kids wrote a letter to their special person and got to read it aloud... that's when we all realized why they chose a tissue box for the centerpiece of each table! hehe
After they read us the letters, they presented us with a lovely "rose". :)

Here is the letter that Emily wrote/read to me. She is such a sweet little girl... I'm very proud of her and I feel so lucky to have her as my daughter!

Fort Worth Zoo

The girls had MLK Day off at school and even though we've had a super cold winder the weather on this day happened to be amazing! We took advantage of it and went to the Ft. Worth Zoo with Aunt Sissy. We couldn't have asked for a better day... the weather was perfect, all the animals were out and there was surprisingly very little crowd!
Emily is a super sweet Big Sis! Megan was getting a little tired of walking so Emily helped her out! :)

Megan always looks forward to seeing the flamingos... but they are normally our last stop. She was one happy girl when we finally made our way to them.
