Memorial Day Weekend

To celebrate Labor Day we went to a family get-together at Grandma and Grandpa Simon's house. There is lots of space for driving Jeeps there... which is always an activity the girls look forward to!

Megan's 'End of School Year' Party

Megan's last day day of school was filled with fun activities! The theme of the day was 'Beach Party'! The kids got to wear their swimsuits to school (Which was fun enough!) and they got to enjoy a bounce house/water slide, sidewalk chalk and even a snow cone! I didn't attend this part of the day so sadly I have no pictures to share. When I arrived, they were enjoying cupcakes... then they moved on to a craft. During craft time, Megan was enjoying a silly conversation with Maddi... they were just a couple Giggly Girls!
Here's Megan's new place mat!
Ms. Lia presented each kiddo with an award. Megan got the 'Blooming Flower Award'! Ms. Lia said Megan was chosen to receive this award because at the beginning of the school year they could not get Megan to talk and by the end of the school year they could not get her to stop talking!
Most of the kids were sad that the school year was ending... but NOT Megan! She kept asking "Is school over yet?" She barely wanted to stand and have her picture taken with her teachers, Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Lia. I'm pretty sure, after a few weeks, she will miss her teachers... luckily, we occasionally run in to them at the tennis courts and soccer fields so i know we will see them again.

Happy Birthday Megan!

This weekend we celebrated Megan's 4th Birthday!

We had Ms. Kim from Noah's Ark Animal Workshop come to help us make our own stuffed animals! We had a lot of fun and were so happy that our friends and family were able to celebrate with us!

Megan decided against the cake and instead ate a teddy bear... made completely of frosting! What the heck... it's only your 4th Birthday once!
She got lots of great gifts... Thank You!

GO Rough Riders!

Today we went to a Frisco Rough Riders Game. It was McKinney ISD Day... so it was fun to see some friends and neighbors while enjoying a little baseball and nachos!

Emily wanted to catch a baseball so bad, but we didn't get our hands on one today... maybe next time!

Oh... and the Rough Riders beat the San Antonio Missions, 2 to Zip! Hooray!!!

Welcome Home Daddy

Daddy was working hard in Taiwan all week so we planned a little something special to make sure he knew he was missed and loved while he was away.
It was a good thing we thought of this early in the week... it took a few days to color in all those big letters!
We taped the steamers to the garage door, so when he pulled in the driveway and opened the garage door his secret message would appear... and he would get to drive though it too! Pretty creative idea... if I do say so myself! (hee hee)
Oh... and it was also a lot of fun to run though!

An Award for Emily

Today Megan, Granmama and I attended the Wildcat Assembly at Emily's school to watch her be presented with a Music Award. This award is given by the Music Teacher, Mrs. Patterson, to one child per grade level for their outstanding character! For the month of May, Emily was the one chosen out of all the 1st Graders… that’s 133 kiddos!
She was very excited to receive her very first award... and could not wait to go up on stage to get it!
Megan is so proud of her Big Sis!
