High School Musical on Ice

Granmama and I took the girls to see High School Musical on Ice and we all really enjoyed the show.

The characters were of course played by different people but the girls were still a little starstruck!

The never ending snow cone... Emily was still working on this thing 2 hours later!

My New Cleaning Gals

I hired a couple new cleaning gals...
I highly recommend them...
They are very thorough...
and very reasonably priced...
It's amazing what they'll do for ice cream!

Hoppy Easter!

We had a really nice Easter Sunday and because it was a bit cold and cloudy the girls got to wear jeans instead of the sun dress I bought for them... they were thrilled to not have to wear a dress. We spent the morning at home and later had a yummy Easter Lunch at Granmama and Daddy D's House.
We dyed our eggs the afternoon before... and added glitter to them too!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Today was St. Patty's Day, but also the first day of our Spring Break! The girls and I went out to lunch, shopped for summer clothes and saw Horton Hears a Who (which was really cute by the way). We also made some green snickerdoodles... from scratch!

Megan was in charge of cleaning the dishes...
Are they done yet?

Easter Party

Megan's class had their Easter Party today because they will be out for Spring Break next week. I volunteered to help with the party and had a great time watching the kids hunt for eggs, make a bunny mask craft and eat yummy cupcakes.
Megan is the one with tall pink ears! :)
The kiddos listened as Mrs. Lia read a story about a bunny.

Open House

Tonight we visited Emily's school to enjoy the 1st Grade Musical production of The Cheese Stands Alone. Unfortunately, we failed to sit on the correct side, so we didn't get to see Emily's pretty little face as she was singing, but we were pleased to see that she stood on the edge! Afterwards, we stayed for Open House.

A Day in Denton

This morning, Emily woke me up and said "Daddy is going to work all day... will you take us bowling?" What a great idea... we hadn't been blowing in almost a year! Luckily, Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sissy were available so we met them in Denton (the halfway point) for some lunch, bowling and ice cream! Grandpa could only stay for lunch, but we were sure glad we got to see him at all!

Only in Texas can you enjoy ice cream outside on a beautiful afternoon... 2 days after a snow storm!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

We were thrilled to have so much snow to play in this afternoon! The girls and I had a snow ball fight with some neighbors and even built a snow princess! What a great afternoon!
